An exquisite Art Deco diamond solitaire ring set in platinum, dating to the 1930s. At its heart sits a 1.42ct transitional-cut diamond of VS2 clarity and J colour, framed by diamond-set shoulders totalling 0.12ct (SI1 clarity, G colour). Elegant and timeless, it captures the balanced geometry and sophistication that define the Art Deco period. A beautiful choice for an engagement ring or a lifetime piece of vintage elegance.

Design & craftsmanship

This antique ring was carefully handmade in platinum, the preferred metal of the 1930s for its strength, purity, and cool tone. The central diamond rests in an elegant eight-claw mount, raised above an intricate openwork gallery. The gallery design features delicate scrolls that allow light to pass freely beneath the stone, giving the diamond remarkable brilliance from every angle. This detail not only adds visual interest but also demonstrates the precise workmanship typical of the era.

The shoulders, set with bright accent diamonds, lead the eye naturally toward the centre. Together, the symmetry, scrollwork, and crisp proportions create a ring that feels both architectural and enduring;  a perfect example of Art Deco craftsmanship.

Why we love this ring

This Art Deco diamond solitaire ring is a superb example of classic 1930s design, combining craftsmanship, quality, and proportion. The 1.42ct centre diamond offers excellent clarity (VS2) and bright colour, enhanced by the open gallery that maximises its brilliance. The balance between the substantial centre stone and the finely detailed setting gives it lasting appeal and feels as elegant today as it did in the 1930s.

Styling & versatility

This design pairs beautifully with both antique and modern wedding bands. Its clean lines and low profile make it comfortable for everyday wear, while the platinum setting ensures lasting durability. Whether worn as an engagement ring or a treasured dress ring, it adds instant sophistication and grace.
