About Us
Aladdin’s Cave is an independent, family-run antique jewellery shop in Leeds city centre, established in the early 1980s. We specialise in antique engagement rings, vintage gemstone rings and one-of-a-kind heirloom pieces, carefully sourced for their craftsmanship, character and history.
With over 45 years of experience, we are proud to be a trusted destination for antique and vintage jewellery in Leeds and beyond.
A Family Tradition
Aladdin’s Cave is run by Jessica Spencer and her mother Roberta Swift, daughter of the original founder, Peter Isaacs, who was widely respected in the jewellery trade.
Jessica, who joined the business in 2003, has always had a passion for antique and vintage jewellery.
She regularly travels across the UK to auctions and fairs, sourcing unique pieces, especially Art Deco pieces which she loves for their boldness and style.
From Queen’s Arcade to Worldwide
After the pandemic, Jessica launched our online shop in June 2020, opening up our treasure trove to customers all over the world. She now oversees our digital presence; photographing new pieces, writing descriptions and sharing the stories behind the jewellery on Instagram and beyond.
Roberta’s in the shop most days, sharing decades of knowledge and stories behind each piece.
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, a vintage statement ring, or just fancy a browse, she’s always happy to help, with no pressure, just passion for beautiful jewellery.
Our Ethos
At Aladdin’s Cave, we believe jewellery should mean something.
Each piece in our collection, whether antique, vintage or newly made in vintage style, is chosen for its character, craftsmanship and soul. We value quality over quantity, timelessness over trend, and sentiment over sparkle for sparkle’s sake.
We’re a family-run business with over 45 years of experience, but our focus has always stayed the same: sourcing beautiful, meaningful jewellery and offering the kind of personal service that makes shopping feel like a conversation, not a transaction.
We support slow fashion and believe in giving new life to old treasures. Most of what we sell is one-of-a-kind. It’s not mass-produced. It won’t be found in high street windows. And that’s exactly the point.
Many of our customers come to us seeking antique engagement rings that offer individuality and history, rather than mass-produced alternatives.
Whether you’re buying an engagement ring, a birthstone gift or something just for you, we’re here to help you find a piece that fits- not just your hand, but your story. Our prices start from as little as £29 so we truly believe there’s something to suit all budgets.
