Victorian Large Silver Locket

Description

An antique large silver locket from the Victorian era 1881. On the front of the locket is beautiful and intricate engraving, depicting two birds on a branch. The back of the locket is plain silver. The locket opens and can accommodate a photograph on either side, it also has the silver stamp inside as well as the back. The locket is shown here on a modern silver chain which has been oxidised so that it is in keeping with the antique locket. This piece comes beautifully packaged in a faux leather presentation box and luxury gift bag.

DIMENSIONS: 22 inch chain. 65mm x 40mm including the bail.

ERA/HALLMARK: Victorian locket stamped Birmingham 1881. Modern chain stamped 925.

WEIGHT: 14.48g without the chain

CONDITION: Some scratches consistent with age on the inside of the locket. Locket opens and closes as it should.
