Antique Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Bar Brooch

Description

This antique diamond bar brooch in 18ct white gold and platinum features rose cut diamonds in a refined bar design with a central floral cluster. Dating to the early 20th century, it combines a 10mm x 10mm diamond head with a slender, elegant line that sits neatly on knitwear, a lapel or a dress. As diamond is the April birthstone, it also makes a thoughtful antique gift.

Design & Craftsmanship

The early twentieth century  brooch centres on a raised cluster with a larger rose cut diamond framed by smaller rose cut diamonds in a daisy style arrangement. On either side, the slim bar carries additional collet set stones, while the terminals finish in neat three stone motifs. The design feels balanced and precise. Meanwhile, the platinum settings give the diamonds a bright outline, and the 18ct white gold structure keeps the piece light and refined on the garment.

Why We Love This Brooch

We love this diamond cluster brooch because it offers strong detail in a very wearable format. The central cluster gives it presence, yet the long bar keeps the look graceful and easy to style. It has genuine Edwardian delicacy, although it still feels so stylish today. Because the diamonds are rose cut, the sparkle is softer and more atmospheric than a modern cut stone, which adds to its antique appeal.

How to Style

This antique diamond bar brooch will suit someone who enjoys antique jewellery with fine workmanship and elegant character. It works beautifully on a coat lapel, soft knit, scarf or dress neckline. It could also be incorporated into bridal jewellery. It would especially appeal to a buyer who wants a classic antique piece of jewellery that is distinctive and easy to wear beyond evening occasions.
