Antique and vintage jewellery has often survived for decades and should be treated with appropriate care to help preserve its condition for years to come.

We recommend removing jewellery during heavy activity, exercise, gardening, cleaning, or when using harsh chemicals, as older settings and delicate gemstones can be more vulnerable to damage than modern mass-produced pieces.

Pieces featuring softer gemstones such as opals, pearls, or emeralds should be handled with additional care and stored separately where possible to help avoid scratches or impact damage.

To keep jewellery looking its best, we recommend gentle cleaning with a soft cloth and periodic inspection of claws and settings, particularly for rings worn regularly.

When not being worn, jewellery should ideally be stored in a soft pouch or jewellery box away from moisture and direct sunlight.

We have specified whether a ring can be altered on each ring listed.  Most rings, with the exception of eternity rings or bands which have detail all around the shank, can be altered 4/5 times either way.

We are happy to offer a ring sizing service which may incur an extra cost depending on an individual sizing. This is also something you can also do at your local jeweller, where you can check the size accurately.

Please email if you have any questions regarding ring sizing or see below for our handy UK to US conversion table.

*We do our best to keep our ring sizing prices as accurate as possible. However, due to changes in the cost of gold, these prices may occasionally vary. We will always confirm the final cost with you before any sizing work is undertaken.

All items, unless stated otherwise, will be delivered in our own luxury faux leather black boxes and branded black giftbags.

This will be be placed in a bubble wrap lined jiffy bag or box. We meticulously package our pieces so that they are safe in transit.

As our jewellery is antique or vintage, light signs of age and wear are to be expected and form part of each piece’s character and history. Many items have been carefully worn and enjoyed for decades, and small marks or wear consistent with age should not be considered faults.

We carefully inspect all pieces before listing and always aim to describe condition accurately, including any notable wear, repairs, or imperfections.

Due to the age and delicate nature of some antique and vintage jewellery, we recommend treating pieces with appropriate care, particularly older rings with fine settings or softer gemstones.

If you experience an issue with your piece within 6 months of purchase, please contact us and we will be happy to assess it and, where possible, carry out repairs free of charge. After this period, we will always endeavour to help and advise, although repair costs may apply depending on the nature of the issue.

Our family has been involved in the jewellery trade for over 40 years, giving us extensive experience in assessing and describing antique, vintage, and contemporary pieces.

Where an item is not accompanied by independent certification, gemstone grades, weights, and specifications are assessed visually by our experienced team. All details provided are therefore offered as informed professional opinions and estimates to the best of our knowledge and ability.

Many antique and vintage jewellery pieces carry hallmarks which can help identify the metal purity, maker, assay office, or approximate date of manufacture. However, due to age and wear, hallmarks may sometimes appear partially worn, incomplete, or difficult to read.

It is also important to note that not all antique jewellery was hallmarked. Hallmarking practices have varied throughout history and between countries, and some older pieces may never have been marked at all.

Our family has been involved in the jewellery trade for over 40 years, giving us extensive experience in assessing and identifying antique, vintage, and contemporary jewellery. Where a piece is not accompanied by independent certification, gemstone grades, weights, metal content, and specifications are assessed visually and professionally by our experienced team.

All information provided is given honestly and to the best of our knowledge and ability. Any notable hallmarks, stamps, or identifying features will always be mentioned where possible within the product description.

Many of our antique and vintage jewellery pieces are one of a kind and cannot be replaced once sold. Due to their age, rarity, and individual character, sourcing identical pieces again is often not possible.

However, some of our contemporary and modern jewellery may be available to reorder depending on supplier availability and production times.

If a piece is still visible on our website, it is usually still available. As we also operate a physical shop and sell across multiple platforms, there may occasionally be a short delay in stock updates during busy periods.

If you are interested in a particular item, we would always recommend purchasing or contacting us promptly to avoid disappointment.

We are also happy to place selected items on hold or discuss payment plan options where possible.
