Art Deco Madeira Citrine and Diamond Ring

Art Deco Madeira Citrine and Diamond Ring

£2,500.00

Description

This Art Deco Madeira citrine ring is crafted in 18ct white gold and platinum and centres on an emerald-cut Madeira citrine. Diamond-set stepped shoulders frame the richly coloured centre stone, which gives the ring its strong geometric look and clear period character. Madeira citrine is a deeply coloured variety of citrine, prized for its warm burnt orange to reddish-brown tone. Because citrine is the November birthstone, this ring also makes a distinctive gift, while its bold scale suits both statement wear and an alternative engagement ring.

Design & Craftsmanship

The 1920s ring features a large emerald-cut Madeira citrine in a four-claw setting, while small diamonds sit in stepped shoulders at each side. Meanwhile, the 18ct white gold and platinum mount keeps the design crisp and architectural, which suits the clean Art Deco lines beautifully. The raised setting allows light to move through the citrine, so the stone shows strong depth and warmth from different angles. As a result, the ring has real presence on the hand, yet the overall structure still feels balanced and refined.

Why We Love This Ring

We love this rare antique ring because it offers colour in a confident, elegant way. The Madeira citrine has a richer tone than many standard citrines, so it feels more distinctive and more dramatic. At the same time, the diamond shoulders add brightness without distracting from the centre stone.  The design feels focused, wearable and full of character.

How to Style

This Art Deco Madeira citrine ring will appeal to someone who loves Art Deco jewellery, strong gemstones and pieces with a clear point of view. It works beautifully as a statement dress ring, however it could also suit someone looking for an unusual engagement ring with warmth and individuality. Because the setting has a clean profile, it pairs well with a plain band if worn for bridal styling.  The rich orange-brown tone sits especially well with black, cream, camel and deeper autumn shades.
