Description

This Art Deco white gold and diamond watch dates to the 1920s/ 1930s and combines a slim rectangular case with diamond-set detailing. The 9ct white gold case frames a Swiss-made dial, while the articulated shoulders feature further diamonds in openwork geometric links. Black cord sections complete the bracelet and give the watch a refined period look.

Design & Craftsmanship

The rectangular watch case follows the strong geometric styling associated with Art Deco jewellery. Small diamonds run around the case border, while baguette-shaped details sit at the top and bottom. The adjoining openwork links continue the symmetry with pierced oval forms and additional diamond accents.

The silvered dial uses black Arabic numerals and slim hands, keeping the face clear and balanced. Meanwhile, the black cord bracelet creates contrast against the bright white gold and diamond setting. The clasp is stamped 9ct.

Why We Love This Watch

This antique ladies wristwatch works as both jewellery and a practical period accessory. The diamond-set case gives it presence, yet the narrow proportions keep it elegant on the wrist. At the same time, the black cord softens the formality and makes the design easy to wear.

How to Style

This Art Deco white gold and diamond watch suits someone who likes antique cocktail watches, Art Deco jewellery or distinctive evening accessories. It works particularly well with tailored clothing, occasion wear or simple monochrome outfits. It would work well as bridal jewellery.

However, its compact proportions also make it easy to wear during the day. The black cord and white gold combination gives it a versatile, graphic finish.
