Edwardian 18ct Gold and Diamond Gypsy Ring

Description

A pretty Edwardian diamond gypsy ring set in 18ct yellow gold. The ring features 5 graduated old cut diamonds set flush into the ring, known as a gypsy style setting. The diamonds are set in pierced gold openwork and the ring is stamped 18ct and PLAT. It is not totally obvious where the platinum is but we believe it could have been used on the claws to make them more hardwearing. This antique ring could be worn as a stacking ring, wedding ring or dress ring, it is a fine example of Edwardian craftsmanship.
