Dating to circa 1956, this vintage moonstone and diamond ring combines a luminous cabochon moonstone with a diamond surround in 18ct yellow gold. The round moonstone displays the characteristic soft blue-white adularescence associated with the gemstone, while a fine diamond halo adds contrast and definition. Moonstone is also a June birthstone, making this an appealing choice for an unusual birthstone ring or distinctive everyday piece.

Design & Craftsmanship

The moonstone sits within a smooth yellow gold bezel, which follows the rounded profile of the cabochon closely. Around it, a circular halo of small diamonds creates a crisp border in a contrasting white metal setting. Meanwhile, the broad yellow gold shoulders taper neatly into the shank and give the ring a balanced profile. The elevated setting also allows the moonstone to catch changing light, which brings out its natural blue-white sheen.

The GVH maker’s mark identifies Guldvaruhuset Aktiebolag of Stockholm, whose registered GVH mark was used from 1923 until 1965. The company produced jewellery in precious metals during the mid-20th century, and this ring carries both its maker’s mark and Swedish assay marks. The F9 date letter corresponds to 1956, giving the piece a particularly useful and precise provenance.

RETURNS:
We do accept returns provided they are returned within 14 days from receiving the item. We will issue a full refund minus the shipping cost.

We will provide a return address and this must be returned at the cost of the customer using a fully insured, tracked and signed for service.

The item must be returned exactly as it was sent, unaltered and undamaged and in the original packaging. This must be marked clearly as a return, otherwise we reserve the right to deduct any import charges made to us from the refund on all international orders.

We do not accept returns on sale items or alterations including ring sizings.
