Description
An antique Edwardian five stone diamond ring in platinum, set with five graduated old cut diamonds totalling approximately 3.76ct. The individual diamonds vary from approximately 0.48ct to 1.25ct, creating a balanced graduated line across the finger. This substantial antique diamond ring has the presence to work as an engagement ring, anniversary ring or statement piece.
Design & Craftsmanship
The five diamonds are individually claw set across the platinum mount, with the largest stone positioned at the centre and the remaining diamonds graduating towards the shoulders. The open-backed construction allows light to enter the stones from several angles. Meanwhile, the scalloped gallery supports each diamond while keeping the setting visually light. The old cut diamonds show the facets and individual character expected from hand-cut antique stones.
Why We Love This Ring
The proportions are particularly effective because the five stones create strong finger coverage without relying on a single oversized centre diamond. At the same time, the graduated arrangement gives the ring a natural sense of balance. The total diamond weight of approximately 3.76ct gives it substantial presence, while the platinum setting keeps the overall look refined and wearable.
How to Style
This Edwardian five stone diamond ring will appeal to someone looking for a significant antique diamond ring with genuine Edwardian character. It works particularly well as an engagement ring for a buyer who prefers a multi-stone design, although it also makes an impressive anniversary or milestone celebration ring. Because the diamond setting spans the front of the finger, it can be worn alone or paired with a slim, shaped band.
