Description
This Edwardian three stone diamond ring in 18ct white gold offers a beautifully balanced interpretation of a classic antique design. Three old cut diamonds form the centrepiece, with a 0.50ct central diamond flanked by two approximately 0.33ct diamonds. Together, they give an estimated total diamond weight of 1.16ct. The broad, finely detailed setting creates excellent finger coverage, while the white gold enhances the brightness of the stones. Dating to the Edwardian period, this ring works beautifully as an engagement ring, anniversary piece or distinctive antique dress ring.
Design & Craftsmanship
The unique trilogy ring features three graduated principal diamonds arranged across the finger, with the larger 0.50ct stone placed centrally. Smaller diamond accents sit between the principal stones and add further light across the setting. Meanwhile, pierced detailing and engraved decoration extend through the shoulders and gallery. These elements give the ring an intricate appearance without making the construction feel heavy. The 18ct white gold setting also provides a cool-toned background, allowing the diamonds to remain the main focus.
Why We Love This Ring
The proportions make this ring particularly appealing. At 1.16ct total diamond weight across the three principal stones, it delivers strong presence while remaining practical for regular wear. The detailed Edwardian metalwork gives it far more character than a modern three stone design, yet the overall shape remains balanced and easy to wear. It represents the longevity and attention to detail that makes antique diamond jewellery so desirable.
How to Style
This Edwardian three stone diamond ring suits someone looking for an antique engagement ring with substantial diamond presence and distinctive period detailing. However, it also works beautifully as an anniversary ring or statement piece. Its elongated three stone design provides good coverage across the finger, while the neutral combination of diamonds and white gold pairs easily with other jewellery. Because the shoulders form part of the decorative design, many buyers may prefer to wear it alone rather than stack it closely with another ring.
